Over 1,000 People Participate in the 3rd Annual Winternational – A Global Celebration of the Season

Successful Event was sponsored\r\nby Trade Center Management Associates and Brought Together International\r\nCommunity, Local Residents and Downtown Employees for an Afternoon of Winter\r\nCheer 

\r\n\r\n

Washington, D.C. –\r\nThe Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RBB/ITC) hosted\r\nits third—and most popular--- Winternational celebration with eighteen (18)\r\nparticipating embassies (including OAS), showcasing how each celebrates the holiday\r\nseason at the Atrium of the RRB/ITC from 11am – 2pm on Wednesday, December 10,\r\n2014.

\r\n\r\n

This exciting event brought in approximately 1,000 local and international residents in addition to downtown employees, who enjoyed the vibrant visuals,\r\nfoods and sounds that captured the nature of the season.  The ambiance of an international bazaar featured embassy exhibitors and artisans\r\nas well as a gingerbread cookie decorating station, complimentary cookies, hot\r\ncocoa and apple cider, sampling of global bites and cultural performances.

\r\n\r\n

The RRB/ITC is a unique destination in the city, attracting leaders\r\nfrom around the world who foster constructive conversations on international\r\ntrade and culture and host Washington locals and visitors who enjoy\r\ncommunity-centric entertainment and programming.  This\r\nevent was free, open to the public and was sponsored by Trade Center Management\r\nAssociates, the exclusive manager of the RRB/ITC.

WHAT:           The 3rd Annual Winternational –\r\nA Global Celebration of the Season

\r\n\r\n

Cultural\r\nperformances and seasonal treats from almost 18 embassies (including OAS)

\r\n\r\n

 

\r\n\r\n

WHO:             Embassies included Bahrain, Bangladesh, Costa Rica,\r\nEl Salvador, Fiji, Guinea, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Nepal, Papua New\r\nGuinea, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Uruguay, and\r\nthe Organization of American States (OAS). \r\nCultural performances included classically trained Russian violinist\r\nRafael Javadov, Malaysian dancer Wuiping Yap, Cuareim 1080, the best Candombe group in Uruguay, and George of\r\nUganda- the greatest African performer of\r\nthe Year.
