Certification of documents for transportation of remains of deceased persons to Uganda

1. Certification is done free of charge. Processing time is 2 working days.

2. The following original documents are required for certification:

o    A Signed letter of request for certification from a responsible person e.g. A relative, an employer etc

o    The Passport of the deceased.

o    A Death certificate.

o    A Certificate of Embalmment.

o    A Burial permit from the local authority where the deceased person resided.

o    A certificate of no contagious diseases.

3.    The transporting airline will advise the applicant on an appropriate casket.

4.     Mailed documents should be accompanied by a prepaid self addressed return envelope.
