Surrounded\r\nby the peaceful waters of Lake Victoria, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is\r\nhome to 48 orphaned chimps rescued from throughout Uganda. Island facilities\r\noffer day and overnight visitors an exceptional opportunity to closely observe\r\nand interact with these fascinating great apes in this unique setting.


The Chimpanzee\r\nSanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWT), an NGO, is responsible for\r\nall aspects of the sanctuary at Ngamba Island. CSWCT works with the Ugandan\r\ngovernment and wildlife authorities to rescue orphaned and confiscated chimps.
