EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA OPENS ITS DOORS AS PART OF PASSPORT DC'S 11TH ANNIVERSARY VISIT UGANDA WITHOUT LEAVING WASHINGTON

The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda is delighted to participate in Passport DC events this year as Passport DC celebrates the annual event commemorating International Cultural Awareness Month in the District of Columbia. It runs from May 1 through 31 with a wide array of cultural activities presented at a record number of embassy open houses, street festivals, performing arts venues, museums, and special receptions around the District. On Saturday, May 5, Embassy of the Republic of Uganda joins more than 75 other nations participating in Passport DC, opening its doors during Around the World Embassy Tour.

This year marks the fifth time that the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda has participated in Passport DC. The celebrations and education continues throughout Washington with embassies convenient to Dupont Circle, Van Ness, Columbia Heights, and elsewhere opening their doors. As embassies confirmp articipation they are added to the Passport DC website and the festival's mobile site,which can be viewed at https://passportdc.oncell.com/en/index.html.

H.E. Ambassador Mull S. Katende, Chief of Mission of Embassy of the Republic of Uganda, said, "Embassy of the Republic of Uganda looks forward to welcome people from all over the world to experience and discover the unique tourism attractions, investment and trade opportunities, traditional music & dances, diverse cultures, friendly people, food, networking and other business opportunities Uganda offers during the Passport DC Around the World Embassy Tour on May 05, 2018."
